Goes Great with
Grilled Bland Farms® Vidalia® Sweet Onion Burger
Ingredients:
- 4 pretzel buns
- 4 slices Havarti cheese
- 1 large Bland Farms Vidalia Onion, sliced into 4 (1-inch-thick) slices
- Lettuce
- Tomato slices
- Olive oil
- Vidalia Brands® Special Blend Seasoning Salt
- Freshly ground pepper
- Vidalia Brands® Blossom Sauce
- Wooden skewers, soaked at least 1 hour in water
Preparation:
- Preheat the grill to medium heat.
- Thread soaked skewers through sides of onion slices, to place onion slices side by side.
- Brush onions with olive oil on both sides, and season with Vidalia Brands® Special Blend Seasoning Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste. Set aside.
- Add onion to grill; grill until tender and slightly charred on both sides.
- During the last minute of grilling, top with cheese to melt. Remove onion from grill.
- Brush pretzel buns with olive oil and place on the grill to toast.
- Add grilled onion slices to toasted buns, and top lettuce, tomato, Vidalia Brands® Blossom Sauce, and your favorite condiments.
