French Onion Dip


  • 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 2 Medium Bland Farms® Vidalia® or Premium Sweet Onions, diced
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 1 ½ cup Sour Cream
  • ¾ cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Vidalia Brands® French Onion Seasoning
  • Fresh Cracked Pepper to taste


  1. Over medium heat in a sauté pan add olive oil.
  2. Once the olive oil is heated, add the butter, onions and salt
  3. Cook the onions until they are caramelized, about 20 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  5. Mix the rest of the ingredients and then stir in the cooled onions.
  6. Refrigerate for at least one hour to marry the flavors.
  7. Stir before serving.
  8. Serve with seasonal vegetables, chips, or crackers.
