Billy Currington’s Sautéed Onion Medley

Ingredients

  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 9 oz. sliced baby bella mushrooms
  • 2 large Bland Farms® Vidalia® Sweet Onions, peeled and sliced into rings
  • 2 tsp Vidalia Brands® Special Blend Seasoning Salt
  • 2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced into strips
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced into strips
  • ¼ cup dry white wine
  • ½ tsp soy sauce

Instructions

  1. In Billy’s own words, grab your favorite cooking pan and put it over a low medium flame. Once heated, melt butter and drop in mushrooms. Move ’em around for a little bit, then drop in onions. Start adding Vidalia Brands® Special Blend Seasoning Salt, add rice wine vinegar. Mix around for a while, enjoy a cocktail! Put in the peppers, put in the garlic, mix around with spatula occasionally. When nearing the end of cooking, add white wine. Finish simmering ’til desired consistency. Add soy sauce and give it another mix with the spatula then it’s time to enjoy with most anything!
  2. As the mixture nears your desired tenderness, pour in the white wine and let it simmer until reduced slightly. Finish with soy sauce, give it one last toss, and serve warm alongside your favorite grilled dishes — or enjoy it straight from the pan.
