St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

Two years in the making, Bland Farms and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital signed a three year agreement totaling a minimum of $300,000. The contract negotiated by Delbert Bland encompassed the ability to allow other produce growers to join this fight without having to meet the rigid requirements of having an individual agreement.

Raymond D. Bland Scholarship for Agriculture

Through hard-work, perseverance, and faith Bland Farms has since developed into a produce industry leader. Bland Farms now seeks to award students who have demonstrated similar qualities. Bland Farms will award two scholarships of $1000 each to two graduates of this current school year to high schools in the Glennville, Georgia area. Applicants must pursue an agricultural or agricultural related field of study. Recipients chosen must begin post secondary studies within one year of high school graduation.

Applicants are evaluated on a range of qualifications including GPA, community involvement, and school activities. Preference is given to individuals with documented learning disabilities and/or financial need.
